Hill Stops 25 Shots After Replacing Brossoit

Oilers Reach 100-Point Plateau, Win 5-1

Hill Stops 25 Shots After Replacing Brossoit

Adin Hill made 25 saves after replacing an injured Laurent Brossoit as the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 5-1 on Tuesday to reach the 100-point mark for the season.

Golden Knights Falter Despite Goaltending Carousel

The Golden Knights, who have been hit by a series of injuries to their goaltenders, started Logan Thompson in net. However, Thompson left the game after allowing two goals on three shots, and Laurent Brossoit took over. Brossoit allowed three goals on 11 shots before leaving with an injury, and Hill finished the game.

The Oilers took advantage of the Golden Knights' goaltending issues, scoring five goals on 25 shots. Connor McDavid scored two goals, and Leon Draisaitl, Zach Hyman, and Evan Bouchard each added one.

The win gives the Oilers 100 points for the season, the first time they have reached that mark since 2016-17. They are now tied with the Boston Bruins for the most points in the NHL.

The Golden Knights, meanwhile, remain in seventh place in the Western Conference with 92 points. They will host the Oilers in Game 4 of their playoff series on Thursday.
